How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

We get allot of rain normally I have up to the knee black rubber I wear mostly
but it has been down in the teens I have a good pair of lace up style ankle boots but wanted slip on like my black ones these fit the bill rubber lower

My barnevelder (who never lays) laid an egg!!

Hers is the one on the bottom. Yes I know it is NOT a dark egg.

My Barnevelders don't lay a dark egg, more of a brown with a hint of pink or purple. Got one today, a bit funky shaped (lumpy about halfway down) so it MIGHT be a double yolker. I think maybe Trill (1.5 years old) is starting back up for the season and this is the first trial product out of the factory.

7 today, a new high for the year. Betty laid in her nest under the ladder in the feed room again. The 2 Welsummers lay my darkest eggs.

I wondered if it was a good average for February. I just wish my EE would start up again. She hasn't given me a beautiful green egg since Labor day.

I think so, assuming you aren't using supplemental lighting to force them to lay through the darkest part of the year. It should be improving as we get farther into February based on my hens' past performance.

We have about 2 inches new snow this afternoon all birds hiding in the coop
about 5 eggs so far used banty eggs 5 to make cookies

Nope. No lights. The only power is an extension cord to the heated chicken waterer.

28 today (no green today )

Speaking of "darker" brown eggs we're getting some "off and on" (know it's not the BCM or Welsummers they're too young) sometimes they have "white speckles" LOL
