How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Sigh, we've been at avg 4 eggs/day... We have 11 layers now (but 1 broody, 2 molting)

However, our one and only blue egg layer gave us our first blue egg a couple of days ago!

And the 8 chicks we have that are five weeks old all appear to have been sexed correctly, and look to be female (so far).

My hens have been slow to get going this year, but I'm pretty far north. Yesterday we collected 14. We have about 40 hens out there. I don't know the exact number, I haven't had time to go out and sort and count. That has to happen soon. I plan to start culling once the snow all melts.

So many Eggs Today, I was surprised myself, I wont tell you how many but if you force me to, I might.... I set some eggs to hatch for the Easter hatch along today.

I also set eggs today for the Easter Hatch along. I set 27 in all. 12 that I went and got from another BYCer on Sunday and the rest from my flock!!
Here's to hoping for a great hatch rate!!

Thanks for asking Penny, still not right at all but some improvement on yesterday. Hoping it will be much better tomorrow before the drive and meeting lots of new people!

10 today so got a couple of dozen to take away with me! See you all next week if I don't get back on!
