You are having a rough go, I’m so sorry! You have a great attitude!Sticking with the 13 eggs out of now 16 hens. Both EEs did not lay again today. But they’re acting fine so hopefully they’re just taking a break. I do hope they lay tomorrow so I stop worrying - lol.
Chicken sitters came over today to debrief. Apparently it all went fairly smoothly - yea! My feed bin feeder did go bad as in moisture got inside. They think it was from condensation. That’s a problem! So have to look at it and see what’s going on. Maybe 3 weeks is too long for it to be closed up in high heat and humidity.
AC condenser bit the dust. 7 years old. Rest of unit is 15 years old. Probably will get a new on installed tomorrow. It’s a big hit on top of the vacation costs - grr. But what can you do. At least we have a window unit we bought earlier this year for after hurricanes when the power stay out for days and weeks. We have that in place in the bedroom and cranking so we are cool to sleep.
Have to finish the health checks on the rest of the hens too. Only got a handful done but overall they were good.
Tomorrow is a new day!
