How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

read a news article type thing today that said generally 3 eggs a weeks is about what we should be eating as part of a healthy diet. I'm doomed. I eat that number most days for breakfast! How about you?
From what I've heard it isn't the eggs that are so bad but the bacon and sausage we eat with them. ;)

we are buying eggs

I used to eat a 2 egg omelet every day. Then not too long after I got chickens I got too busy and now I eat half a bagel with peanutbutter and raisins every morning! I usually just use eggs in cooking or make deviled eggs once every few months I have an omelet.:lau
That is kinda funny!

Well I have read so many conflicting articles that I searched medical and nutrition journals for articles that were a “meta-analysis” - a mathematical process for combining many studies and using the statistical analysis to draw conclusions. I was just diagnosed with high cholesterol so I am very curious. (Blood test taken before my chickens reached POL!)

The conclusion of the majority of these studies is that eggs don’t increase the cholesterol in your blood. The substance that is the highest risk for increasing your cholesterol numbers is saturated fat. Eggs seem to have some characteristics that prevent the cholesterol in them (and the fat) from creating problems.

And they are so healthy! I’m not going to cut down.
