My final count for today is 13 eggs! There were 6 more when I locked them up for the night!

I have been getting none, then one egg on the ground. A few days later, another single egg, on the ground, but smaller. Today, two in the nest. I had just figured everybody was finished for the winter. Several in the other flock are molting although they are less than a year old. Buttercups are having it the hardest. I thought Muffin was the Turkin the other day. Most are just losing head and neck feathers, and a few tail feathers. The Buttercups look pitiful.

Only 8 days? Must be you got them as started pullets. Congratulations on your new flock and the eggs.

2 today, none from Sophia which is weird since she was on the nest at 3:30 yesterday afternoon.

2 tan eggs today from Blue and unknown. I’m so bad at posting I collected 9 eggs yesterday (Saturday) after not collecting them on Friday, 5 tan and 4 blue. The second Ameraucana that’s laying has darker eggs and they are significantly smaller, I wonder if that’s bc she’s starting up or if her eggs are in fact smaller.
