How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2 out of 6. I’m thinking my Easter egger has stopped laying because I haven’t seen a blue egg in a couple of weeks, but my mom can’t believe that she would stop for no reason. I know she isn’t hiding any though because we’ve had them locked in the run for a couple of days and still no eggs.

How old is she? Might be molting.

How old is she? Might be molting.

She’s 8 months old. She’s only been laying for 2 months. I’m planning to look her over at bedtime when I can actually handle her and see if I can figure out what’s going on.
Also I was wrong about the number I got today, I just found a late egg from an australorp.

Final count....5 out of a possible 6 duck eggs and 2 out of a possible 11 chicken eggs. To be fair ALL my chickens SHOULD be molting but I have 2 troopers laying during molt.

I have two laying hens (one barred rock, one Cochin x Ameraucana who lays brownish eggs) 7 pullets (3 white leghorns, 2 ISA browns, and 2 Asian blacks) due to start laying any day, and two roosters (NHR x salmon faverolle).
Used to have over 100

Wow, you have definitely downsized! Sounds like you will be getting plenty of eggs soon!
