Thanks! All from a group of "barred rock" chicks I bought this spring. No telling what different breeds are lurking in their genetic profiles. LOL

So ive lied to yall lol

Got back from grabbing more feed and was looking around the run... seems one of my leghorn girls has forgotten where to lay lol

And big Tonky is sitting in the nest box now trying to lay one... so 6... i will have collected 6 eggs today..

Now only 6 more girls to start laying and should be complete hell lol

Congratulations!! New layers are always fun. I like the olive color. I have 4 and olive eggers 3 lay light to very light green one lays tan. I do have one more olive egger but she is only 13 weeks old so i still have a while before I see what she lays.

Not sure who, but pretty sure its Eugene... they have this thing where they hate me until right before they start laying and then they want my pets and beak scratches like when they were little and a couple days later, bam, egg..
