Two today. I let the chickens have the run of the yard all day and the two Golden Comets took turns laying an egg each inside the stand of Crepe Myrtles.

I got 4 today. Maggie, my broody girl was set free and is back with the flock.

Only 6 today. It snowed starting yesterday afternoon and through the night, then I think it rained. There wasn't much left this morning but it has been cold.

Wow, your chooks are certainly devoted to those crepe myrtles! I wonder if a human can begin to understand what the attraction is? (As opposed to a nice, comfy, private nestbox?) At least you know where to look...

Well, they're back in business! All 3 Rainbow Girls had already laid their blue & green eggs when I went out to see them this morning, the 2 greens still warm.

Two very nice brown ones came later in the day, so today = 5. Thanks, girls!
