How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

5 yesterday, 3 today.

Sick all last week, knew those hens were laying somewhere other than the nest boxes but I was too sick to go on an Easter egg hunt….

But yesterday I found their hidden stash - 21 eggs, 1 egg had broke so 20 - brats!

Up on the straw stack between two bales they had squeezed between.

My Mallards buried their seven so deep thinking I would not find them but luckily I did. I found 4 today. I will have to keep a close eye on them as they love to be Mommies, lol.

I gathered 6 eggs from the nest boxes at 11AM today. One felt pretty cold, so it may have been laid late yesterday. I cooked a dozen eggs yesterday for the girls, gave them half then, and gave them the other half this morning. They definitely love scrambled eggs!
Mine won't touch them! They are the pickiest ducks I have ever seen. They will eat lettuce, cucumbers, zuchinnie, and they love grass but that is about the extent of it. They eat their regular duck pellets and crumbles of course every day. They won't touch eggs, peas, pumpkin, or hardly anything else. Fussy ducks for sure, lol.

For the first time 2 out of last three days 3! Out of three barred rocks. All three I have are now laying. Got them in June and one stopped for winter and one wasn't laying yet and now all three are. Very exciting and while two weeks ago I'd fill up a small bowl a week I now fill it up in a few days. The best thing is they are so excited and lively when I go outside now. I know three isn't much for many but theyre my first chickens and I'm so happy all three are thriving and providing me with eggs. I've learned egg salad is going to be a staple now with what were getting.

I got my first four chickens June of last year as well! We’ve been making breakfast burritos or french toast every morning, in order to keep up with the influx of eggs. I’m loving having such delicious breakfasts daily!
