I'm behind... 12 Monday, 11 Tuesday, 12 both Wednesday and Thursday, and 8 today.
The luffa planted by the coop is growing well. The vines have managed to grow higher than what the chickens can get to. There are attempts of lower lateral offshoots but those don't last very long.

Do you dry the luffa when ripe? I want to try growing this.

16 eggs today, including 3 silkie eggs; one of the pink ones is still brittle, but at least not brittle enough to break in the nest.

Do you dry the luffa when ripe? I want to try growing this.

You just leave the luffa on the vine until it's dried enough that you can hear the seeds rattle when you shake it then you know it's ready. Then you soak it in warm water for 20 minutes or so to remove the skin.
