It's been a while since they batted 1000. Got 7 out of seven this morning by 9AM. Good girls!

I've been away for a while. The ladies have been generous and grace us with 10 to 11 eggs a day since I last checked in. We had 10 today.
We lost Kitty, our Barred Rock today. Not sure as what got her as she was pretty vigorous and was underfoot the entire time I was in the garden yesterday. She was my lap chicken and I will miss her very much.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It sounds like Kitty was a wonderful girl, and I wish you could have had so much more time with her, though I’m sure no amount of time could ever feel like enough
