8 again. The last few days have been sunny and the backyard is no longer a bog. The ladies are glad for their outside time.

We are consistently getting 7 eggs daily. First cream color egg with small red brown dots today. That would have come from a Speckled Sussex. We have more of them getting red combs and wattles so the numbers should go up. We noticed some of our pullets in our second coup have wattles and combs turning red. We will be putting in nesting boxes for them this coming week. Have to get some more nesting pads. We really like using them.
