I just store my eggs in an "extra" fridge we have. I've had up to 33 dozen in there at one time. What do yall do with all your eggs?
We gave away 2 dozen, used 14 to make a casserole with bacon and sausage and now, in just a few days, we have over a dozen again.
I cannot keep up. lol
I only have a couple chickens right now (I'll be getting 15 more hens springtime) but back when we were getting a dozen a day we would leave them on our neighbors porches whether they liked it or not with a little card to make it seem like a nice gesture >I just store my eggs in an "extra" fridge we have. Just adding oyster shells in a pile somewhere does the trick for me, whichever hen needs it seems to know to eat them.Checked before work and found a busted soft-shelled egg in the roost. Wondering if I should give them calcium tablets, but I’m not sure which hen is dropping the soft eggs.
Wow i get overwhelmed when i have 3 dozen haha. I can pay for raw milk from a neighborg with eggs when i have too many - he sells them and never has enough! I might bring some to sell at a farmers market too if needed as my egg production will lilely double next year.I just store my eggs in an "extra" fridge we have.
