How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

when I had a bigger flock I order boxes of crickets from reptile places and just open the box in their barn ... pure joy for over a week lol..

In the summer I gather Japanese Beetles off the roses and shrubs, then toss the lot on the barn aisle floor for the chooks - it's a huge hit with them!

19 eggs today - plus one broken one that one of the Silkies laid - Marty likely.

Girls - you can take a break - please! My fridge is full of eggs!

7 with one broke that is a soft shell egg so 6 brought in.

6 eggs today, all frozen and cracked. Will be having scrambled eggs and French Toast tomorrow. Had some egg drop soup tonight for supper. It's just a little cool outside with nighttime temps at -29F. Daytime high was something like -11F. We have another day of this cold spell before the temps will start going up. Looking forward to spring...

My 9 girls are pumping out 7 eggs a day now n really starting to add up even with me n my dog eatin em every day! And giving em away to my mum n nan haha! middle of winter in England too!?! getting plenty of hi quality corn mix with mix veg n oats n black sunflower seeds in, n layers pellets n oyster shell, and seaweed chicken tonic booster in there water, also apple cider vinegar in there water and treats of grated cheese and milk as well as plenty of chopped fresh garlic, fed down there throats and in there water also, and household light in there coop on a timer for 16 hours daylight every day, also once every few days or week feeding them a few scrambled eggs mixed with milk also to help keep em boosted/ boost em back up from all the eggs there givin me bless em...so proud of em alll! There all growing up so fast into big henys!

Shame I lost one to a prolapse and kept getting ill n also respiratory problems too.. bless her... Think must've been one with a weak immune system as all the rest are healthy n pumping the eggs out!

Edit: I found 1 more today so that's 8 from my 9 hens today now all time new record haha!

First egg in days, except for some shell -less ones. Not sure if it’s frozen but it sure is cold! Started the big girls on calcium and D tablets a couple days ago. We did this a few weeks ago but the thin or no shell eggs are coming back.
