My 7 ladies only turned out 1 today. Did a count over the previous four weeks and they turned out 104 over that time span, so I know they have it in them!

Been slow the last week or two; we had a brutal cold snap where it was -12 at the coldest and really didn't get over 20 for two weeks. Add to that we had to rush to get the permanent coop finished and the gang in it right before said cold snap...this led to a fairly stressful move. They were in a redneck masterpiece mobile coop, but with the weather that was coming, they needed a coop where they could just stay inside, still have room to move, and have their food/water out of the elements. Got that done, but the timing required them to be moved to the new coop while asleep in the mobile and it was tough to wiggle myself in there to get them out. I should suspect that all adds up to lowered production for a while.

First egg that hasn’t busted in the coop since the 24th. Still feels thin shelled. I gave them some tums mixed with sunflower seeds, peanut butter, and egg shells this morning.
