Beautiful egg, though! That’s a good-sized egg for a first timer.I got my very first egg from my first flock of pullers ever! I’m STOKED! Even tho I’m bummed my EE gave me a brown egg lol. Photo credit of my 3 EE, the far left is the one who layed.

When you crack it, check to see if the inside is blue.
Her single comb is interesting. Most EEs have a pea comb, but they’re such mutts that there are lots of possibilities.
Blue eggs, and those related colors like green eggs, come from a genetic mutation that causes all the shell material to be blue, so it’s blue inside and out.the insides can be colored?!![]()
Congratulations! That first egg is exciting!I got my very first egg from my first flock of pullets ever! I’m STOKED! Even tho I’m bummed my EE gave me a brown egg lol. Photo credit of my 3 EE, the far left is the one who layed.
Well, I candled this morning and I saw movement and the outline of the chick?! Unless I got the eggs mixed up? But I did candle all and saw movement in all, one I wasn't sure on (maybe it was that one?), but I did see some movement. I swear it was the right egg though. Not sure when I can candle next because...Unfortunately it looks like one of the newer eggs quit. I will try and candle again in a day or so (depends on what the one due to hatch Wednesday does) to confirm, even though I'm certain it didn't make it.
The new eggs are on day 7.
