How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I’m curious to know if I’m having a problem. My first 6 hens started laying on July 3rd at exactly 20 weeks. However the eggs appear to be small. It’s there a problem or is it because they just begin laying? I started them on Lonestar 20% layer feed and I have been adding 10% of the Lonestar chicken scratch in with the layer feed as I feed them each time as the instructions call for.. Please let me know if I’m doing anything wrong are is this their starting process. Thanks everyone for the help.

Totally normal, smaller eggs at first. They are adorable and exciting as first eggs. Of course, you will need more for an omelet.

We are awaiting the first eggs from five 18 week old pullets. It could be a month but the CQ will probably begin in the next 2 weeks. Probably on the poop board and cracked, but still...

We received 16 eggs from 17 layers. It's been a few weeks since almost all have laid in one day. I did not expect it, but I'm pleased to receive them. Usually it is 12-14 per day, with 6 over 2 years old!

Got 9! (7/19) 5 duck and 4 chicken. But 1 duck egg was broken in the nest, didn't count it though so 6 ducks laid but I only collected 5. No idea why their eggs keep breaking... I think one of them is laying eggs with a weaker shell, and then they sit on it and it breaks...

Collected 7! (7/20) 6 duck and 1 chicken. Another chicken laid but the egg broke... why all the broken eggs?! I guess they need more calcium?
