Unless one of the Leghorns laid in the yard and I didn't find it, but I really just think that she took the day off.

Got 5 eggs today. One was the first Welsummer egg. It's a beautiful terra cotta colored egg. Waiting on the other three Wellies to start laying.

14/18, finally ramping up.....I'd be totally happy with this many a day.....the eggs are all starting to get larger as well, very few pullet eggs today.....

Still 4 out of 28 pullets, but today my red leghorn started laying. She came up to me and wanted me to pet her, then she went into the nest box and laid a medium sized white egg.

Two of my Golden Comets went into the nest box with her and they each tried to steel her egg. I explained to them that they had to lay their own, and to try to claim this egg would not be believable because theirs would not be white.
