How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Out of six hen, I got NO eggs today...I have seen three of them lay and the other three are a new addition. The seller assured me they were laying as well. I had someone tell me to go buy some fake eggs (I got wooden ones) and put them in the boxes to encourage them...they havent layed since I did that

I've heard that you put a little cheyaene or hot pepper in the feed. It is supposed to get most any hen to laying. I haven't tried it, but plan to start todady.

My hens are on strike. They haven't layed any eggs all week. I give them cayenne pepper once a month as a wormer. I put tabasco on scraps also to jump start the laying, an old chicken farmer told me these things. He said its because it makes them drink so much more water. So far it works. (I'm out so tabasco is on the grocery list) I also put apple cider vinegar in their water and sprinkle DE around.

My big girls provided 5/13 today and my youngsters 15/15.

When trying to convince chickens to lay you need to approach them reading a cookbook with a picture of a roasted chicken with all the fixings. That'll make them sit up and pay attention.

17 yesterday... 10/31 today, guess most needed the day off, lol
