All five runners laid today, no surprise. The surprise was that a sixth egg was in the nesting area. Seems one of the geese had coveted the ducks' nesting pads -- which are, by the way, IDENTICAL to the nesting pads in the goose house. But everything's better at the neighbors' house, right?
Still just little Matilda’s daily egg! We’ve had a few cold gray days again, well below freezing. The ducks have chosen to stay in the barn, meaning less natural sunlight. The Muscovies are close, but I think they need a few more good full days of sun to get them going.
