Bummer. When I've had girls do things like that, they usually fixed it during their winter vacation. I'll have to see what Mellori does this year, she was laying soft shells last year.4 today, but one of the Marans laid another one with a soft top. I think it was the same girl as before, Pella. She was a wonderful layer, then stopped in late November, started again sporadically, and now she’s laying soft tops. I’m getting worried.
Which incubator did you get? I am getting one tomorrowToday eggs are going in the incubator I just bought
Yes, he hatches them in his science class. I'm not sure if he talks about genetics or reproduction or what his tie in to science is. I know the 6th grade science teachers also hatch eggs ( but later in the year, end of April) and the teach about eggs and hatching and things like that.It sure is.
Will it be a class project.
I always give them credit for laying them even if they freeze or get broken.Make that 45 today... I found three more in a bucket on my porch. Probably frozen, but still...
How many are you putting in?? Good luck !! I'm going to start some soon myself. Probably the first week of march.Today eggs are going in the incubator I just bought
Me too. It certainly isn't their fault of the eggs freeze, they can't bring them into the house on their own.I always give them credit for laying them even if they freeze or get broken.
