How many hatch boxes

How many egg nest boxes should I have for 16 ducks? Mind you I don’t really know how many hens I have yet.

Do you mean nest boxes? Generally there should be one box per 4-6 hens.

My ducks just lay in the shavings on the floor I have made lil "rooms" no doors kind of like cubby's so they can lay in there and most of my Muscovy's use them my Runners and Buffs use the shaving in their house too for laying.

Well don't be surprised if they all lay in one place they like doing that or they may set up to laying areas but if you give them plenty of bedding I use deep horse bedding they will make their own nesting places. I have even laid a piece of plywood up against the wall and secured it with screws so it won't fall on them and they will scoot in there to lay.
I have a few Muscovy females that will every once in a while fly into a chicken nest box but most of the time they all just lay their eggs right in the shavings.
