How many here are actual backyarders vs. Farmers?

Im a backyarder... I dont think im supposed to have chickens. And i KNOW im not supposed to have a rooster but the neighbors are easily bribed with eggs

Farmer. 12 acres bordering dad's 60 acres. 2 1/2 acres tobacco, rest of the ground is rented out for soybeans and corn. Wife and I work off the farm, dad won't leave me alone though and includes us in his farm projects. Now we have 5 Wellsummers, and 11 Buckeyes. Looking for Lav Orpingtons if anyone has any (hint, hint) in SW Ohio. Wish we could farm full time but we would starve to death trying. We're working on trying to become more self sufficient at the very least.

I am a back yarder I guess. I do charge folks to come to the farm and see all the critters and hold them, but I do not raise them to sell them or the eggs yet. So I guess that makes me still a back yarder.

Im a backyarder and a farmer! LOL I live with my parents in a neighborhood with my two show birds n the shed but the rest of my flock and my steer live on my boyfriends farm!

FARMER
