Hey, I’m trying to decide on my breeding pen for next season. Can anyone identify these colours? Are they silver partridge or splash? I’m hoping to put together a BBW pen so I don’t necessarily want partridge 😵‍💫

First 3 images are the same chicken
4th and 5th are chicken number 2.

She is silver partridge, not splash.

** Both are silver partridge. I didn't notice there were two the first time.
No worries. Yes two chickens! One much darker than the other. As they are silver and black based, will I get reasonable outcomes from a pure black silkie crossed with silver partridge? I want to breed really good quality birds! They don’t have to be perfect show standard but close would be amazing! This is my rooster Philip, who I will hopefully use next season 🥰

The chicks will still look good. They'll be mostly black with silver leakage, so may not fit a standard color variety, but that doesn't matter unless it is planned to show them.

Silkies can have hidden color genes, so you can get surprises.
