How many here are actual backyarders vs. Farmers?

Farmer, 5.5 acres, 71 chickens and more coming all the time. Have 50 layers, 5 roos and chicks of assorted ages. Sell free range eggs.
My chickens keep humans.

We are moving to our new farm in a couple weeks. We have been raising meat chickens on a friend's farm but we will now have our own. It's not huge by any farm standard, just about 8 acres, but it will be enough for our chickens, some steers, and some dairy goats.

Backyarder here. We are in a semi rural area one one acre in a neighborhood surrounded by farmland. Our acre is in the very hilly heavy treed area so lots of good freeranging area for our girls.

ditto for us, Malita - one point zero zero zero eight acres minus drainage and driveway easements. But no free ranging with the very busy road, dogs and other chicken eating critters. The neighborhood motto is, your mind your own business and I'll mind mine.

Backyard - but in my heart we have about 2 acres with Pigs and goats and loads of chickens and Turkeys and geese and Ducks and and well you get the picture.

Unfortunately then I wake up and am backyarding again with just 10 hens and complaining neighbors! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

With four chickens, three cats, & one dog,(as well as DH, DD, &DS) on 1/10th of an acre, I guess I'm a backyarder. But compared to my last house (a 12'wide double trinity row house in South Philly), it sure feels like heaven to me.

I guess we would be a small scale farmer, we live on 7 acres and are outside of the city limits> We have chickens, ducks, geese, horses, cats and dogs. We also do some gardening
