How many here are actual backyarders vs. Farmers?

Farmer. I raise and sell stock and produce, as well as providing for my own family here on our little place. So, I consider myself to be farming

Backyarder - although my "yard" is 11.5 acres. Hubby retires in December, so we hope to have more than just the 34 chickens we have right now. They are just used for eggs now. Haven't gotten up the nerve to process any yet.

Backyarder here. Thought we are on 3 lots on a culdesac and the back yard backs to a huge field and the side yard to a flood ditch (we call our river). We even have a "cement pond" So I feel like I am on the farm!

I am a BYC'er. I have a toy poodle and around 30 chickens. No meat chickens, egg-layers only, and would never eat one of my chickens. I spend a LOT of time with them.

Edited to say - I raise my own tomatoes and cucumbers, and if I weren't pushing 60, I'd try to be a REAL farmer - need a tiller.

Backyarder. City Limits. Front Yard is vegetable garden and fruit trees and roses. Backyard is 6 types of berries, more fruit trees and flowers roses and chickens and ducks. Lot is 7,000 sq.ft and house is 1550 of that. If I could figure out a way to get pasture on the roof I would have dairy goats.
