How many here have parrots?

In the past I've owned two budgerigars. Right now I've got a little Peach Face. Such a sweet bird, and also my best friend.

I have an African Grey. She likes chickens (and their eggs).

We have 8 budgies. They live in pairs except in one cage that holds 4. They all get together to play during cage cleaning times. They also love to fly through the house.

My budgies are delightful and think the entire living room is theirs. One is fully flighted and the other two are just starting to fly short distances.
My conure is new and untame, but he ate out of my hand today for the first time.

Well the cockatoo I have was wild caught, so he doesn’t leave his cage, even if I leave it open all day, he also doesn’t like human interaction at all. One of my macaws is afraid of humans because he was neglected and therefore occupies himself when I open his cage and let him “free roam”. The parakeets I’m still learning about, I just got them last week and they seem to be afraid of hands and humans in general. But I love all my babies!

You have a gorgeous flock. Don’t feel bad Bird math got to me too and now I’ma breeder cause I love my birds and love sharing them with people. I hear so many people talk about breeders that are just in tiny cages forced to breed and we don’t do that here. My birds are family they get all excited when I used to get home from work. Everyone has names and they run the show we take cues from them for what they need.
