..How many of you SECRETLY.....

4 cats and two dogs (the second the DH leaves for work). The cats have all learned to sleep on my side of the bed so I get rather cramped at night with 15lb furballs jammed against me as much as possible...... but I love it! The dogs just lay and wait until DH leaves..... as soon as the back door shuts they are up on the bed!

I let one of our doxies sleep with me (the two others are my daughters), big dog sleeps downstairs by the door.
My doxie likes to crawl under the covers and burrow all the way down to the end of the bed.

The part about the cat waking you up at 3am to go outside!.....

ummm..

I'm guilty of pretending not to hear it also.. atleast long enough to make my DH go crazy and let her outside himself....

I know, that is terrible.. but it's just so cozy with my little Yindi under the covers with me!.. and I can't wake her up too!

My dog weighs almost a hundred pounds and no matter how often I wash him he still smells like a DOG so no he does not sleep in the bed with us. Sebastion has his own washable bed at the foot of ours.

Oh yea, I am aware of the fact that they ALL hear the cat, but think I am stupid. And if the yowling does not wake you, the banging of the doors will. DH was on nights, all the kids were gone, so I went through and opened every single door in the hallway so the cat would have nothign to bang on. He proceeded to use the closet door at 3 am. I hate that cat at 3 a.m.

he can't wait until we can open the cat door back up in the spring!!!!!

Although we have came up with a bit easier of a solution for now.. we just open the window next to our bed so she can pop in and out .. with out him getting up and going all the way downstairs just to let her out... then back in an hour later...

kids and dogs!... and cats!!

Yep..3 dogs on the bed at night. Our 2 chihuahua love to burrow under the covers, the maltese sleeps on top the covers, & my cat at the foot of the bed. Our 2 larger dogs sleep on the floor next to the bed, one happy sleeping family.

Last year, it was ticks! I know about frontline, all those topicals just don't work like they used to! Hope you have better lucky this year! Enjoy your furry friends!

Same here! My baby chick, Ivory (the only one that hatched for a test hatch) is still too young to go outside (only 26 days old today) so she stays in her brooder box in my bedroom. I say good morning when I wake up and good night to her every night before I go to bed.

Right now she's snuggled up on my shoulder, peeping in her sleep because she hears me typing.

lol she's so adorable!
My mom's/our family's yellow lab prefers to sleep in his cozy dog bed with his best friend/step sister, a black lab.

But my dad's two dogs (a dachshund/black lab mix and the other one is some kind of a black lab mix) sleep with my dad all the time.
smile.png
Riley, the dachshund mix, will sleep just like a person next to my dad with his head on a pillow. Nitro, the unknown mix one, will usually sleep above the covers and will sometimes sleep somewhere else.

I have to admit, I would love to let Ivory snuggle up with me to sleep but I would probably roll over on her while sleeping and that obviously wouldn't be good...
hide.gif
She's better off in her warm brooder box with her sock bed!

(lol sorry I know this is about dogs but I just had to mention Ivory...she's so spoiled!
