How many "packing peanuts" are you getting from ideal right now??

I ordered the the bantam special a couple weeks ago. I ordered 25, they sent 26 but a white creasted black polish chick was dead, but I still got the 25 alive.

You are lucky to get one extra. They do not seem to want to send extra bantams out of 26 i got this week there are 10 alive​

I ordered the bantam special from ideal a couple of weeks ago also. I am sad to hear of your losses. I ordered 50 and received 52 after the first crucial couple of days 44 were still alive. All 44 are running fighting and trying to fly now. Maybe its a numbers thing and heat. I live in west central arkansas and the chicks arrived the day after they were shipped. I expected to lose a few as they do not seem to be as tuff as full size birds *just my opinion* and so ordered accordingly. Other than that my last two orders from ideal were perfect no doa's no deaths. I received 7 packing peanuts last fall *red broiler roos* ... they tasted great!

The problem i have is the chicks do not make it here until the second day.

I ordered a dozen pullets and got 9 RIR packing peanuts.

I always order about 10 to 12 random bantams and they always put packing peanuts in there. This time I got 11 red stars or production rir. It says on the invoice that they will all be males but sometimes I get females. I think I have about 4 females in this group. The bantams ship better in warm weather. Even knowing this, I get to excited and always order early and lose most and end up ording again in warmer weather and they all usually make it.

Not sure if this one is suppose to be a packing peanut or they counted it as a Cochin. If it is a packing peanut then I was shorted a Cochin

I've got 16 bantams coming from Ideal this week. They hatch on Wednesday. I'll let you know how many peanuts I get. I hope there are a bunch! LOL
