How many people have had chickens stolen by two legged predator ?

In general though, people do strange things. Years ago back around Anderson County in Texas there was a group of people entering pastures at night and sacrificing animals. Usually goats and the like, or your cats, but for a while the popular thing to do was take a knife and cut a horse from the inside if you know what I mean. People would come out and find their horses bleeding to death internally or worse already dead. Probably eight years ago it started up again and a local horse farm was hit several times. The straw that broke the camels back was when they got a mare in foal. Because of the stress she dropped the foal prematurely. She and the foal both made it and were featured on the front page of the paper several times for being survivors. Locals banded together to start a 24 hour surveillance on the farm. So nothing really surprises me anymore.

A few weeks after the SLW went missing I caught a car stopped at the bottom of the driveway late at night sitting there with their headlights off. I just happened to be out messing around in the pump house when they pulled up so they didn't see me. I hid in the shadows until they got out and started unloading cages. That's when me and the three dogs headed down the driveway. What a 16 year old (me at the time), a dalmatian, and two golden retriever mixes was going to do at the time I don't know. But the people jumped back in their car and sped off. Needless to say the gate was locked every night after that, and if the dogs made the smallest noise I was out of bed checking on everything.
