How many quiet roosters have you known?

I have a 8 months Dark Brahma who hasn't crowed yet! my other rooster, a Delaware, crows around one hour before sunrise, then maybe once or twice more during the morning and then he's done for the day!!

Our Ameracauna is egg-ceptionally quiet at 22 weeks. His 9 charges (also Ameracaunas) make more noise than he does (except when there is food invoved). He started crowing at about 10 weeks in competition with an EE roo (now in freezer camp). I guess he has grown into the strong silent type.

My EE cockerel is on the "crow often to wake the sun" program. He gets all of his crowing done by sunrise and then he's shockingly silent (growling and tuk-tuks excluded) the rest of the day. I don't know that I'd classify him as "quiet", exactly... And he's very, very busy making sure those eggs are fertile so I don't think it has anything to do with hormones. He's an only roo and there aren't any others within earshot so I figured it was partly lack of competition for his girls' affections.

OH, he does greet anyone who drives down the driveway with a crow or three. The chorus of dog barking and rooster crowing and kids squealing for the arrival of the UPS driver has got to make him feel welcomed...
