How many scorplings will there be? Baby update post 111

So does mom incubate eggs internally, and then 'spit up' the hatchlings?
Or is she really preggers but delivers orally?

Well....I am not really sure. (Oh, I forgot someone else asked earlier about them having live young or laying eggs, too....sorry). She "delivers" the babies through a slit in her chest or abdomen (not sure which really) but I don't know how the process works prior to that. She will sit upright with her legs made into a cradle to catch the babies as they come out. It is quite fascinating to watch!

So it's like a natural C-section, sounds like.
We just don't know if it's eggs hatching in there or lots of little wigglers in their own placental sacs...

Interesting, either way.
I'd be much more open to having 11 kids if they had a special door they came out of to land neatly into my waiting arms. But I still wouldn't want all 11 at the same time!

LOL that is what I was thinking, too!!! She doesn't seem to be in any distress at all while "delivering" the babies. I can't imagine taking care of that many kids (newborns no less) at one time!!!!! She is a better woman than I!!!! I feel almost positive there will be a few more, too. I guess we will just wait and see.

This is just so bizarre!!!!! Fatso seemed to be doing really well with the 11 little cuties she didn't eat. The babies appear to be thriving and all is well. Everything I have read indicated that she would have them all within about 48 hours of starting. So, we were settled in with 11 new scorplings. I went to check them this morning and saw two under her tummy. I counted, counted, and re-counted the babies on her back and there were 11!!!!! She just had two more! Those two have now joined the babies on her back and she is sitting in the position to have more!!!

How many babies are we going to end up with???? Poor Fatso!!! She is being a really good mom now, though and we are very proud of her for that.

OMG 13 babies and more coming .... Poor fatso she needs some special extra yummy gutloaded crickets for that ...

LOL I hadn't seen any until now, either, and they are so cute!!!!!

I am keeping a ton of crickets in there just so she can't possibly get tempted to eat any more of her children. I hope that works!!! I have actually thought about giving her a pinkie mouse and seeing if she would accept one (it would be a frozen thawed). I have a few in the freezer I am no longer needing since I no longer have a snake small enough to eat them. I read that it is a nice treat for scorpions but shouldn't be given often to avoid overfeeding.....right now I don't think that should be a problem.
