How many should I get?

I've been wanting to get geese for a long time. I have a neighbor who is selling chicks or fertile eggs. I've incubated and raised chickens for a while. I want these geese as pets and to be friendly. Should I start with fertile eggs? If so I was thinking 5. If I get chicks how many of each should I get?

If you want to enjoy seeing them hatch, I would get eggs. Geese will still be friendly to you if they are under a week old when you get them. At least get two so that they have a friend.

five would be good but if you get them on the hatch day it will also work. my gander was already a week old when i bought them and he loves me to death
