How many windows do you have in your coop?

Two. Across from each other for cross ventilation.

Cutting a hole and putting Plexiglas across it, you might have leakage problems. You've got to be careful about water because it will rot the wood around the window. It can be done, but needs some careful planning.

I am just about finished with mine and the coop is 12x10 and has 6 30x30 windows in it (well they are framed). The run is also 12x10

8x10 Metal roof 3'legs chicken fence all the way around LOL

I live where it's very hot & summers last forever. My coops are three sided so they are very open. Seems that you live where its cold. You can add more windows for more light & in the winter you can cover the windows with clear strong plastic or plexi glass works well.

I really like your coop. I like plain farm looking functional coops. Love, the big & high run.lots of room.

I have two coops ( so far, haha)...an 8' x 10' and a 6' x 8....both of them have fronts that are entirely hardware cloth top to bottom, and I used the clear corrugated plastic for about half of the sides, hardware cloth for the rest. The chickens LOVE their coops and spend a fair amount of time in them even though they *can* go out in their runs ( also covered ) or into grass yards. I made wide overhangs on the roofs to keep rain out of the coops.
Chickens want fresh air and light. Given the choice between being 'snug' and having air and light, they will pass on the 'snug'.

Four, along with the open front. The more natural light the better. I don't think the chickens like being in a dark dungeon.
