On a side issue about Apple Cider Vinegar, if you mix it with Epson Salt and in a bowl of warm water, it's good for Athlete's foot, it's a good anti-fungal.

I definitely don't use ACV. It's just hype. Fresh water is all they require..

If you put the health benefits aside (whether they exist or not) and the chickens prefer drinking the ACV water over regular water, then at a bare minimum you could call the ACV water a "treat" for the chickens. Many people enjoy giving their chickens a treat from time to time and ACV is probably one of the cheaper ones to give.

You don't have to be a scientist or need a multimillion dollar study to see whether or not the chickens prefer ACV water over regular water. All you need is 2 water bowls that are the same to rule out the possibility they prefer one water bowl over the other.

My chickens prefer wine in their water. I usually serve white with fish and red with dark meats.

I would give them generally about 1tbsp per gallon. I noticed the waterer wouldn't get as slimy compared to plain water.
