How much are peacocks worth?

Some of you got it right :D
There around 100-175 I have her at 150 just wanted to make sure how much I could sale her for.

Where do you live? I'm thinking it all depends on location...I tried selling a black-shouldered peahen with 2 chicks for $60 and couldn't do it. I was very surprised. And I had babies on CL for $10 and not a single response. I think maybe next time I'll try a different way of advertising.

I have found that no matter what kind of fowl i sell they always sell better thew first of spring, after that things seem to tapper off, mabe that is the case where you are at.

75 to 125 depends on the age.
baby 25
1 year old 50
2year old 75
3 year old laying 100 to 125
Being a hen you should be able to sell he pretty fast i would think.

How can I tell how old she is.? She looks BIG LOL maybe 2.5 feel long I have no clue.

You can't tell once they are over 2 years, really.

As for price, a hen around here would go for maybe $50 (and you'd have to wait for a buyer most likely. I know I'd be leery of spending that much without knowing more about her age and health). People often LIST them a lot higher, but an india blue female with no known splits or mutations is not going to be worth as much- as evident by the fact that those higher listings stay around forever. The last pied female I got was $70.

Nate, I'm not surprised they don't sell near you; florida has a healthy wild population and I know a lot of people who consider them to be PESTS. Wish we had "pests" like that here!!

On another thread, you say that this peahen just showed up in your backyard and you think it belongs to your neighbor...
Have you already tried to find out who this bird belongs to?
I hope you are planning to try to contact the owner before you try to sell this bird?
Someone is probably missing her. Pea owners get very attached to their peas.

Yes I did! I went to the store close to my house (less than half a mile ) and posted some fliers. I also asked some of the neighbors around and found the owners! They say they don't want it no more that its to loud and neighbors had put in complaints to the city. They don't want it so they let it roaming in the streets! Apparently it flies? And went in my back yard with my silkies and top hats.
