How much can I hold my chicks when they come?

I don't want to stress them out but I want them to bond with the family. Thanks in advance.

I am quite new to this, but we held our chicks a lot as soon as we brought them home. Everyone else I know has done the same. The chicks like to be warm, and you will be giving them the comfort that a mother hen would. Just be careful! They like to hop around a bit once they get comfortable, and they like to hang out by your neck under your hair... we don't want falling chicks! Oh, and expect them to poop on you. Just saying.

X2! The more human contact, the more tame they will be. Just keep them warm - don't take them for walks outside!
