How much did you pay for your Thanksgiving Bird

We'll have a turkey given to us as it is each year, but...we've already decided if the kids aren't coming...nothing but last minute plans from my SO's kin...we're eating a beef roast instead.

I'll cook the turkey another day when I'm not so busy or we'll give it away. Nothing like third hand turkey.

Still haven't purchased it.

Wife says we should dispatch our Red sex link and eat her... she is huge.

I still think I'll win out and get a nice small turkey at Costco next week,

Perhaps next year I'll buy a turkey chick at the feed store in April.

Buy 2 or 3. Turkey poults are extremely fragile. After they get up to size they don't generally like chickens either. When they are young chicken poop germs can be fatal to them.

i looked last week and no one had any turkeys, even the ads that came out tuesday were turkey free, i stayed home this week, i'll look friday, turkey shortage maybe

I hatched 4 turkey poults yesterday so that's one for each of us Thanskgiving day!

Seriously I'll either be reduced to buying a frozen one at the grocery, I think next week they are on sale for 49 cents a lb or I might just talk my DH and kids in to eating one of the 10 lb Cornish X in the freezer instead.

Though if my stupid goose keeps biting me we might have him instead.

$0.00.
