how much do you charge for your eggs?

Wow, I sell my eggs for a $/doz. I live in a very rural area, and I go by the price in the grocery store. I am selling eggs 90 miles away along with the people around our little community. I was thinking of going up to $1.25 but wasn't sure if that was too much, but I might try it. From South Dakota

HELP!!! I've got egg requests coming out of my ears. A neighbor just came by and almost demanded she buy some eggs and be put to the top of the list (she's a good friend).

Anybody in the SF Bay Area got some young layers they want to sell?

I know I have a huge demand for eggs too and I have chickens and have just recently ordered 50 chicks. One thing about that is I live in a very remote area where there are a lot of country folks that love the fresh eggs.

Hi NY here. I've been selling my eggs for $1.00 a dozen but my price is going to have to go up! The local grocery store is charging $1.69 for a dozen of white eggs! I get about 8 dozen a week so I sell when I can, as we can only eat so many eggs a week!!!

Nifty, you better get more hens, and quick!LOL. Too bad I'm so far away, I need to get rid of my mixed flock so I can concentrate on my marans. And they are great layers. I got 42 eggs from 47 hens yesterday. Oh well, Road trip anyone? I don't know how many of your hens are laying, but if you're not up over 50 %, you might want to boost the protein level. I mix gamebird breeder pellets in with the layer and can really see the difference.

Nifty I have a couple of young Maran hens I recently purchased from Wolfy (Rae) as part of 5. She had a big ole cochin and a favorelle along with the 3 marans.... I need to reduce my flock of dark brown egg layers as I just picked up 2 blue egg pullets and a white egg layer. And I want to get a couple of other birds... So I need to get rid of 2 or 3. I have a gold laced wyndotte (sp?) I bought from Rae a year ago that lays all year long. I am trying to keep my total bird count under 20.... it's just so hard to do...

email me at daddynorm yahoo.com if you are interested.... I can post pics if you want...

I charge $1.50 for customers who come to the farm to pick up their eggs and the same for co-workers who I don't have to go out of my way to deliver. I charge $2.00 to any eggs that require delivery of product. I will sell to some delivery customers for $1.50 if they order more than 10 dozen.
