I know I’ve read several of these threads before, but they were quite old.

So just a general question, how much do you sell your eggs for per dozen?

I’m just trying to get a feel for what I should ask for. I have a variety of colors blue, olive, white, brown, chocolate. And I raise them on organic feed as well as let free range as much as possible.

I plan on purchasing some new unmarked/unused cartons and add a custom stamp on the top, if that matters.

Would love to hear what you guys charge.

Many thanks!

I sell mine for $3/dozen. When I was thinking about selling, I got on craiglist to see what they were going for and it was between $3-$5. I didn't want to be too low, as I think they are worth a little extra money, but I didn't want to be too high either. It would be a shame to sit on all of those delicious eggs because they were overpriced!
So if you check around your area, at least you can get an idea of where everyone else is at. Good luck to you!

Wow! That’s cheaper than our local grocery stores which will run me around $3-$6 a dozen depending on the store.
Our stores offer them cheaper than my price. ;)
Also I was told by a Distributor Rep. a couple months ago that Big Grocery chains sell their eggs at or below their costs. Hardly anyone just goes to the store for just eggs. Other high value items make up the difference.

Just like yesterday, I was selling baby chicks for $5 each. A customer was saying that I was gouging people because Rural King has chicks for $2.39.
I told him RK is selling them at or below cost. BECAUSE.. Now that you just bought your DIRT CHEAP chicks, you are now filling up your cart with expensive items like.. a new feeder, waterer, heat lamp, shavings, wire fencing, hardware cloth, feed.. then you come back again for more feed, again and again. They know what they are doing.

Walmart sells there eggs for 79 cents a dozen.. And breakfast cereal for $4.98.. they know what they are doing as well.
When I ask $3 for my eggs, it's like the phone is broken.. never rings. $2 for fresh eggs.. ring ring ring..
