For a long time I've been feeding my hens cracked corn (the type you buy for bird feeders), as a daily treat. I regret to say I've been giving them close to two handfuls a day (big mistake), and now my chickens are starting to look tubby....so I know I need to really cut back on it. But, how much cracked corn is too much? I usually scatter it around the coop/run to give them some foraging fun. Is there a better, less protein, less fatty option? They do get table scraps once in a while, so its not like the cracked corn is their only treat. Advice would be much appreciated. And thank you in advance!
