How much real useful info do you find on BYC ????

There is a ton of good information here on BYC. I can honestly say that I learn something new every single day here. There is some misinformation here and there as well, but overall there is a lot of very good, useful information. Having a place like this is invaluable. I have gotten so many good ideas here. Every time I meet someone new here locally, I tell them about BYC.

I've learned alot hear on BYC, many good people who love their girls...I like all the threads that actually have to do with chickens, don't bother with the one's that don't...

I learned everything from here. From how big to make my coop before I got my chickens and even what kind of chickens I wanted. How to pick the right ones at the feed store (yep, I picked 3 roos and I got 3 roos). What kind of treats to give. And before here I never knew I could have chickens that lay blue eggs. And when my hen was injured every one told me not to give up too soon on her and Im glad I didnt. This is the only forum on the internet I frequent.

I've found some useful and valuable info, especially now that I know who's got the straight scoop (they're all found in the Marans thread and/or the Ameraucana thread).

Just as much, if not more so, I've seen a bunch of useless drivel totally lacking any scientific merit. That and the preachy "moral minority" tone to this place is a real turn-off.

I'm just glad I happened to see those threads about "The Coop" before they were burned along with all the books.

I love this site, before I got on BYC i never thought about Ventilations or the hight of the roost or how big the nest box should be or etc etc, Yes I know how to build structures real well, but I did not know what chickens need till I got hooked up with BYC.

So I want to say Thank you BYC orgenizers and moderators and thank you all my friends to be such good ppl and animal lovers.
