How much should I pay to have my coop cleaned out?

Hi! I was in a car accident over the weekend, and am unable to clean out my coop because of the injuries. I found a high school student who is starting up his lawn care business willing to come clean my coop for me. But, neither of us know what a fair price for the services would be. I want to make sure that I’m compensating him more than fairly for his work.

I have 12 adult birds and use the deep litter method, so the coop hasn’t been cleaned out since early summer. When I do it, it typically takes me about an hour to do it.

Does anyone have any advice on how much I should pay him?

First, I'd provide a mask for them to wear during the cleaning. Doesn’t have to be a fancy one,, just one that would help block dust from being inhaled.

Do they know what they're charging for their lawn care? I'd budget at least 2 or 3 hours just because they likely won't be as fast as you since they're not used to doing it

50/60$ should be fair maybe give him some eggs if he does a really good job. Providing PPE probably would be best. Sorry to hear about your car accident I hope you heal up quickly.

Thanks all - really appreciate your guidance on this! He came out today and did a fine job. The girls are happy as can be about it.

Ended up agreeing on $60, then threw him a little extra because it’s homecoming weekend so he could splurge on a corsage as they say. 😆
I think it's a fair price. I hope you are doing well after the accident.

By the way, I am very sensitive to payment methods, as I often play gambling games and use only one method. I'm looking for different games on this resource https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/echeck it's a great site where everything is tested and reliable and you can also get a promo code. With the help of which I won a fairly significant amount of money.

I don't like this job so much, I ask my husband every time. It's great that you approached this issue so responsibly.

I would say $50. Nice setup by the way.
