How much should they really be eating?

Normally one chicken needs 120-150 grams of feed a day,but its also depend on the breed, the age and the time of the year. So I think that you need at least 3 kilograms almost 7 pounds a day only for the chicken! For the ducks I can't help you!

I have wormed them with some kind of pig and chicken liquid wormer, and last month a natural wormer. I also have used the rooster booster stuff. I still have a canister. Do you think I have enough feeders out? I have them scattered about, one under a shelf for the bantys and babies. I will check for pests. I have DE and wood ash I use. Would that be strong enough against mites? They seem to like their feed, I switch it every so often. It is currently, my mother says, a 23 percent grower because of my silkie chicks. Calcium on the side. I currently have a few empty coops. Should I separate the thinner ones?

Without seeing yor feed set up I can't say, but you should have a separate station for a few birds if you only set food out certain times. If it is continuous feed, then I'd set up a few feed stations (maybe 4?) but make sure they are spaced out of sight from each other so the piggish ones can't drive off the less dominant....With 18 birds I use 2 at the opposite ends of my yard...the 2 gal size metal canisters (edited to add: at one station, a bowl at another) and one bowl in a midway point. That helped the less dominant ones.

The liqiud is meant to be used 2 doses 10 days apart if it is Wazine. (check the bottle for recommendations) but if you have the Rooster Booster Triple Action Multi Wormer on hand I'd use that as it hits more worm types...but ALL birds need to ingest it equally.

I'd separate the thin ones if you have the coop...check for illness and pests. You could then be certain of their feed and ingestion of wormer. I use wood ash too but I will use permethrin poultry dust if I see an actual infestation...dust the bird liberally then clean and treat coops. I have had good luck then sprinkling a generous dosage on their dusting sites for the birds who aren't showing obvious signs...but technically you treat all birds if one shows signs of lice/mites. Repeat in 10 days. I also spray my coops with Orange Guard and it seems to help too.

Just what I would do.
