Are you only looking at females? or males as well. For just overnight, you could do a 4x4 coop with 4 females, if you add males i'd probably down that to 3 max, boys are big.

I have one "extra" smaller, coop a 4x4 and i keep two Muscovy drakes and two Buff orpington female ducks in this, it's only for overnight. My main barn cannot house anymore drakes, it already has 5 lol That's more than enough boys in a confine spacing.

Storeys guide to raising ducks rec inside space be 2-6 Sq ft depending on size and temperament . I have 8 ducks inside a 8X10 house with individual stalls since I have 2 drakes in there that cannot sleep together. Mine range in the open fenced in property daily too. Go as large as you can for sleeping quarters because if your like most of us they are addicting and you'll be getting more either by Muscovy Broody or buying from someone else. lol.

Mine don't roost but some folks do put up roosts for theirs but it doesn't have to be high like chickens roosts. You might like to make it so you can walk inside though it's so much easier to clean out. All my duck/chicken/goose house are walk in but 1 and boy is it a dickens to clean much better to be able to walk inside. I have a pic of some of my houses on here in my profile if you want to take a look.

And believe me you'll be glad you built big. I went from 4 Muscovy's when I first started to 15 now. and added chicken and geese into the mix.

I will give a bit of advise on using wire for floor, it's rough on ducks feet and can cause Bumble foot which is something else to treat and get rid of, so you might want to consider another type of flooring, but being able to open the roof for cleaning is a great idea.

chicken wire 1/2'' I think it's called in English .... ...
not sure what else i can use :(

i will use this --->

with this --->

for the floor wall and roof, and then i will dress it (for protection of wind etc)
