I'm so sorry. My condolences to you. Grandma had a great life and made so many other people's lives better.Everyone, I have some really really sad news. This doesn't explain why I was gone for a few days, this literally happened today. This is hard to believe and I'm not lying but Grandma has left us. She might've had breathing problems but I'm not so sure. I just came home and my mom showed me where Grandma was. I thought she was hiding in a new spot from the sun, but no. She told me Grandma died. She didn't make it to May. My heart feels heavy and I feel sick to my stomach. I was really hoping she'll make it to her 10th birthday, but no. I'll never have another chicken like her. Good bye, Grandma. I don't think I'll ever get over this. Here are the last few pictures of her. Yesterday, we got new baby chicks and they are starting to annoy me now that Grandma is gone.

I have a very determined broody - I finally relented last night and let her keep a few eggs.Oi boy, it’s an epidemic these broodies.
Keep my gang out of these talks, I don’t need any broody ladies here - too much temptation! Hahaha!
I feel really lucky that I have not had more broodies this Spring. Only Georgie was broody, and she wasn’t as horrible about it as she was last Christmas. I don’t see anyone going around clucking, and thinking about it either.I have a very determined broody - I finally relented last night and let her keep a few eggs.
I have another one who is '1/2 broody', lol. She is off the nest for about 3-4 hours in the morning - then sits tight the rest of the day and all night. ?Don't know how she thinks she could successfully hach that way!???? But at least she gets off the nest herself and completes her daily self care.
So what eggs did you let her have? Can’t wait to see her babiesI have a very determined broody - I finally relented last night and let her keep a few eggs.
