How much?

My son went away and left me in charge of the chickens. They had someone feeding them but she didnt show up today. I went to the store and bought ;chicken feed and special other stuff. How much layer pellets do I feed 5 chickens per day?

Chickens don’t really over eat, so just fill up the feeder. The exact amount however, is about a quarter pound per bird.

Just give them a big or box full of pellets and they will eat until they are full.

I always keep my feeder full so the flock can eat when they want to...haven't had any issues with them over-eating.
