How not to deer hunt

Some friends asked if they could sit on the game trail that goes through the lower part of my land to still hunt. I told them sure but they made the mistake of cutting through our lawn to get there. Looked out to see 35 chickens trailing them down the hill--bet that didn't enhance their hunting experience.

Next time they'd better take a different route.

Maybe your chickens believed that it was their duty to be on hand for the cleanup detail

Mine did that to my dh when he was getting rid of the carcass from the deer he had gotten. He was a bit nervous seeing them following him around. I told him not to trip on something, fall and go unconcious

i gave up hunting since the deer so nicely jump in front of my truck on the way home some evenings!!

My hubby butchered a deer in our side yard. By noon there was nothing left of the blood and guts he left behind. our chickens had cleaned the whole place up. Little vultures!
