How often do pullets lay?

They slow when it's hot outside. I live in sw Oklahoma. And mine do the same. Some days I'll get a dozen eggs then the next hit day I'll get 4.

Ok, my dilemma. I have 3 Easter Egger's who are 17 weeks, and 3 Sapphire blues who are 13 weeks. This morning we got our first egg. I know it's probably an eggers, because it's light green. But how do I figure out whose egg it is?

Vent check.

Large and moist compared to all others.... probably your girl. Ifyou feel either side of vent ther will be two pointy bones. If you can fit more than 2.5 fingers between, also a layer.

There’s also food coloring in vent. Do a search, I’ve never done it. That will tell you what specific egg came from what vent.

I will check, but this is the first egg we've gotten from any of them so far. thanks
