How often should I check on my ducks in a day?

Hi, this will sound wrong, I'm sure, but I am just wondering how many times should I check on my ducks daily? They are outside in a duckhouse and run that I can see from my kitchen window. Is twice daily enough to meet their needs?

For adult ducks that are all healthy, I would say yes twice a day is fine. As long as you spend enough time to be able to watch all them to make sure they are all acting normal.

Ducks can hide symptoms well and it takes knowing your ducks daily behaviors to be able to pick up quick on one of them being off from their normal.

We have all adult ducks now and I give them fresh water and feed twice a day. I spend about an hour with them each time and that gives me time to watch everyone long enough to make sure there is no egg bound issues or anything like that going on.

The sooner you spot a problem with one, the sooner you can doctor them back to healthy and happy again. Best of luck.

as long as you make sure they are safe and have food/water they should be fine, but my ducks are my babies and i spend hours a day with them lol

Than I would check them a few more times in the first weeks..
After a while the twice a day will be fine!

To have a good relationship with ducks spending time with them is important. I'm retired though so I can spend as much time as I want with mine.
